Dan L. Rainsbury

Dan RainsburyDan L. Rainsbury is an attorney at the Sacramento office of McDowell, Shaw & Colman. Mr. Rainsbury graduated from the University of California, Irvine in 1992 with a history major and political science minor. After college, Mr. Rainsbury studied law and international business at the American University of Paris. He later earned his Juris Doctorate degree from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles (Magna Cum Laude; top 5% of class). While in Law School, Mr. Rainsbury participated in Moot Court and worked as an extern for Federal District Judge William Matthew Byrne, Jr. (Central District). He was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2000.

After graduating from law school, Rainsbury worked in Glendale, California as Lead Attorney for Genex Corporation. While at Genex, Mr. Rainsbury represented disabled clients at Social Security hearings throughout the West Coast.

Since 2002 Mr. Rainsbury's practice has focused exclusively on insurance defense and insurance Special Investigative Unit (SIU) matters. Mr. Rainsbury has worked with several prominent Bay Area litigation firms and possesses extensive experience in all phases of insurance litigation. In the first-party context, Mr. Rainsbury defends insurance companies in uninsured/underinsured motorist claims and has participated in numerous arbitration hearings. Mr. Rainsbury has also taken hundreds of Examinations Under Oath to evaluate the merits of questionable insurance claims involving arsons, burglaries and thefts.

Mr. Rainsbury is licensed to practice law in the state and federal courts in the State of California.
