Katherine Topor
Katherine Topor is an attorney with the Glendale office of McDowell, Shaw, Colman & Garcia. Ms. Topor graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a B.A. in Psychology and Law & Society. She received her Juris Doctorate from Southwestern Law School in 2010.
Prior to joining McDowell, Shaw & Colman, Ms. Topor was with the law firm Girardi & Keese, where she assisted in all stages of litigation, including discovery, motions, depositions, and trial preparation.
Ms. Topor is admitted to practice before the State Bar of California, and the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
In addition to the practice of insurance defense litigation, Ms. Topor volunteers at the Harriet Buhai Family Law Center, aiding low-income individuals with marital dissolution proceedings, and the Alliance for Children’s Rights, advocating on behalf of children in the foster care system.
In 2010, Ms. Topor received a Certificate of Commendation from the City of Los Angeles for her work with Los Angeles Superior Court’s Teen Court program, an alternative sentencing program for first time juvenile offenders.
