Phaidra M. Garcia, Esq.

Phaidra Garcia is an attorney with the Walnut Creek office of McDowell Shaw Garcia & Patton. Ms. Garcia has practiced law since 1996. She graduated from Golden Gate University School of Law in 1996 receiving her J.D. Prior to that she attended San Diego State University where she graduated in 1992 with a B.A. in Psychology.

Her practice focuses primarily on the defense of personal injury lawsuits and assisting insurance companies with first party claims investigations. Ms. Garcia represents various major insurance companies in all aspects of insurance litigation and coverage. 

Since 1996 Ms. Garcia has successfully first-chaired several trials and has been involved in hundreds of arbitrations and mediations. She has taken thousands of depositions and examinations under oath. 

Phaidra M. Garcia became a partner at the firm in 2010 and in 2011, Ms. Garcia became a named partner and the firm was renamed McDowell Shaw & Garcia.

Ms. Garcia is licensed to practice law in the state and federal courts in the State of California and is a member of the Northern California Fraud Investigators Association, the National Fire Protection Association, Insurance Fraud Committee for CLM, and the National Association of Professional Women. Ms. Garcia also provides training in the areas of first and third party claims for insurance companies in fulfillment of the Department of Insurance continuing education requirements. Ms. Garcia is also a Mock Trial Coach at Serra High School in San Mateo, CA.
